In many cases, however, they are unrelatable. In the Call of Duty franchise, for instance, most people playing cannot relate to the experience of war, but we find them intriguing and badass, and they make playing these games more entertaining. Similarly, the cast of a series like Mass Effect has the same problem: we can't relate to people trying to save the galaxy from sentient alien ships and fighting A

Harold Joseph, more commonly known as Stretch, gets out of prison in the early stages of GTA V __ and gets back to work in the gang lifestyle with Lamar Davis and Franklin. Of course, we find out gradually over the course of a few missions, that Stretch changed sides in prison and was working for the Ballas the whole time. He almost gets Lamar killed later on in the game, when the three protagonists have to assault the sawmill to save him. If the player chooses not to have Franklin kill Michael or Trevor, and instead takes out their enemies, Stretch gets what he deserves. Betraying your gang and trying to get homies killed? Vice City sparked a minor resurgence in New Wave, while Grand Theft Auto IV perfectly captured the burgeoning indie scene in Brooklyn at the time. Building off of the presentation and quality of the latter’s soundtrack, V boasts one of the series’ best collections of music. For indie lovers, Radio Broker is replaced by Radio Mirror Park, which features tracks from Twin Shadow, Yeasayer, Health, Neon Indian, The Chain Gang of 1974 and more. The incredible thing is that all of the aforementioned artists are contributing new music to the game. For electronic lovers, there’s Soulwax FM, named after and featuring many remixes from electronic band Soulwax. On the pop side of things, there’s Non-Stop Pop FM which features an excellent blend between current top ten artists like Rhianna, lesser-known ones like Robyn and classic acts like Hall & Oats. Of course, there’s something for everyone with other stations focusing on rap, country, classic rock and more. After finding out that former accomplice Michael is alive and well under a different name, he decides to drive down to Los Santos to pay him a visit. These games have all been enjoyable in the most video gamey ways possible, with big set pieces accompanied by fast paced action and plenty of gore. However, one thing I can't stand is Kratos. Speaking of Geralt, let’s talk about some RPG tropes. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn’t the only one guilty of this, but it’s my most recent example. Okay, so you’re tasked with finding your adopted daughter of sorts, Ciri, before an evil force finds her. Throughout the game, this sentiment is blasted into Geralt’s head repeatedly as an urgent mission where a second lost could prove fatal for Ciri. With that being said, you can mess around for countless hours doing remedial tasks like hunting monsters, playing cards, or locating a crazy old woman’s pot. It’s an open world RPG, so there needs to be stuff to do in order to expand the gameplay and I’m fine with that. Perhaps don’t patronize the player for taking their time though. It’s disheartening, although I’d rather feel bad than having a time limit implemented like in Dead Risi
