Yone's Q is also remarkably similar to that of his brother Yasuo. This ability, like Yasuo's "Steel Tempest," is a straight-line skillshot that deals instant damage based on Yone's attack damage and functions much like a buffed up auto-attack. The differences between the two character's abilities lie in the third consecutive strikes. Unlike Yasuo, Yone's third use of his Q is a knock-up attached to a dash. This means that certain heroes who have a high base movement speed such as Keeper of the Light will benefit less from the use of these items compared to before because they are receiving a bonus that disregards their inherently high base speed. On the opposite end of things, heroes that are inherently slower in their base speed like Medusa will benefit slightly by becoming faster than when using percentage-based bonus items for movement speed. Players who do not pay attention to this change will certainly be in for a rude awakening as they slightly overextend with a hero that was slightly faster only last w


So far, there does not seem to be much of a change in which items players prioritize in game, however the price difference has meant that matches see a longer delay before they can be purchased, or they are forgone entirely in favor of saving up for another, more expensive item a little earlier. But this rework exemplifies all the worst parts of Riot’s decision making when it comes to competitive play vs. fans enjoying the game. The rework makes Volibear "fit" into the current game meta but gets rid of the things that made him iconic like his flip which was a huge playmaking opportunity. Though his ult somewhat captures that spirit, the rework remains a bit contentious amongst the community. Volibear’s new kit is extremely broken if leveraged in the right way. It makes him horrible to play against because it restricts the ways players can approach the game or even what champions they can play against
