EA Sports FC 25 isn't exactly short on Brazilian icons, but Ceni deserves to be included as there really wasn't anyone else like him in the sport. He scored 129 goals in 1,209 games, mainly for Sao Paulo in Brazil. This record could easily be smashed in Ultimate T
Wrexham was pretty popular within the game’s community during EA Sports FC 24 ’s Career Mode, and things remain the same even in EA Sports FC 25. Being owned by Ryan Reynolds, the club has been in the spotlight for quite a while, and they have been showcasing quality footb
Then there's Career Mode. I'm a rare breed of EA FC player (or at least I feel like I am) in that Career Mode is my go-to , followed by Online Seasons. Ultimate Team has never had its claws in me much. This time, the biggest change is the addition of women's teams for Career Mode. In our short preview we only had Kick-Off and Rush, but it's a requested change which adds more options to the game with a simple
A huge, commanding goalkeeper, he wouldn't be great with the ball at his feet like modern shot-stoppers, but he would thrive in keeping the ball out of the back of the net in Ultimate Team. He would join the likes of Michael Ballack and Phillip Lahm of the legendary Bayern Munich ic
But in presentation and organisation, EA FC feels very different. It feels a lot more Tactico-coded; no longer do players play in Defence or Midfield but as Inverted Wingbacks, Ballplaying Centre Backs, Wide Forwards, Shadow Strikers, and Roaming Playmakers. There have been options to control your positioning on a more micro level before, but this brings it front and centre, emphasising tactical input - how the players react to this is called FC
Rogerio Ceni is a legend in the soccer world for having the unique attribute of being a goalkeeper who would take free kicks and penalties . Something that gamers would replicate when using his card on older editions of Ultimate Team, especially in those iconic Brazilian league te
Ultimate Team is inevitably very important to EA Sports. It's hugely popular, no matter how you feel about it personally, and succeeds despite the immutable truth that it is pay to win. It might sound pessimistic, but the addition of relegation to Division Rivals is huge , given it avoids the massive dearth in player level that quickly develops. It's also character building, or so it's clai
EA SPORTS FC 25 remains the visual peak of EA SPORTS titles, even though Madden is right on its heels. The pre-game introductions, the player animations, the crowd, environments and the lighting are beautiful. Then there's Messi's hair that flows in the wind. There are two graphical options in the menu with the option to include some ray tracing and the other favoring resolution. There was a glaring graphical bug during daytime games that couldn't be replicated at night and changing the graphical options didn't get rid of it. Icon Player Cards models during the game in the middle of the field would begin ghosting. This may be related to the lighting direction at the time, but it's apparent enough that it's an issue (it doesn't seem to happen at night or in the rain). Otherwise, every visual aspect of the game remains top tier.
The next spot on this list is occupied by Valencia, who used to be a menacing team in the early 2000s. They won the La Liga titles during the 2001/2002 and 2003/2004 seasons and also finished as the runners-up in the 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 UEFA Champions League campai
Each player's strengths in each position is based on Opta analysis of the past two seasons, including thousands of minutes, but I'm not sure what this means for lower league players. I'm also less confident in the numbers EA presented, which had Bellingham at 14 percent suitability as a Shadow Striker. Maybe these numbers aren't final, as he also has the Role Plus Plus for this position, which is reserved for world class stars. Every player has a Role Plus, the position and emphasis (Roaming, Deep-Lying, Defensive etc) in which they play best, and Plus Plus is where they are the best of the b
Everton stands out as among the biggest clubs in English football, and the Merseyside-based club has played the most seasons in the top flight. Their last trophy dates back to 1994-95, and they haven’t been successful over the past few decades. The problems have added up in recent times, with the teams narrowly escaping relegation in the last couple of ye
If you played FC 24 , you're not going to get too many shocks in the gameplay of FC 25 . It's just not that sort of franchise, and there's really not a steep learning curve for established players in the most played game modes. That might inspire the usual cynicism about how little things have changed, but it's an inspired move from a brand familiarity point of view. I've played for years, and I have no desire to have to relearn. Instead, the education requirements come more subtly or off to the s
