Morrowind’s pure RNG combat is a relic. It was even annoying at the time, so it’s no wonder that Bethesda moved away from it in subsequent games. Even so, it paired with the game’s character development process and gave players a reason to stick closely to their chosen classes and skills. If one didn’t either think of ways to quickly buff/build up their skill or invent tactics to give themselves an edge, then they weren’t going to get anywhere in Morrowind .

Some of that can happen in Skyrim too, but players have so many more options in that game. Ever-present fast travel makes retreat a much more attractive option. Easily-trained skills mean always having a strong backup option, with little need for either planning or improvisation. The same goes for having enemies that rely almost exclusively on dealing pure damage rather than attacking through debuffs and drains. It’s not necessarily easier, especially on higher difficulties, but it's more convenient for the player. It’s not 100% bad, but it does come at the cost of a potentially more rewarding and memorable adventure.

Return to the Circle of Bones - remember that the entrance can be found by starting from Archer's Line, through the dome building, and is the Hive door marked by the engravement in a hill. Continue forward toward the other side of the Hellmouth, this time to the Catacombs accessed from a hole in the wall. Follow the staircase down to find the first Hive group. There is a Hive Wizard named Malura, the Fated inside the Catacombs. Defeat her to receive Ehrath'Ur's Horned Wre

For a decent Cold Front in PvP, players will want to start with the weapon’s barrel. The most useful roll for this in the Crucible is Hammer-Forged Rifling on PC and Smallbore on console. Hammer-Forged Rifling increases the SMG’s range while Smallbore increases both range and stability. PC players have the advantage of a mouse and keyboard, making weapon recoil almost a non-issue, which makes Hammer-Forged Rifling much more useful to them. Console players, however, struggle with recoil a bit more, making Smallbore more benefic

Head to the Temple of Crota. The temple entrance is found on the eastern path of the Anchor of Light. Following the pathway, keep descending until a large circular room is reached. Swing right and follow the path to World's Grave. Keep moving forward in a straight direction until the end of the pathway. Head left on the raised pathway. Located at the end of the path is a room with a Hive Thrall named Shun'Gath, the Excised. Obtain the Fangs of Shun'Gath by defeating Shun'G

Convenience can be a good thing in many situations. It gives people more free time in their daily lives and, when it’s thoughtfully implemented, can make games feel good to play. Just like in real life though, too much convenience has its downsides. In some games it can rob players of chances to apply themselves and craft more interesting adventures. In others, too much convenience can quickly turn amazing moments into standard, perhaps even dull experiences. Too little convenience can make a game unenjoyable too though, so both gamers and developers alike should be careful of letting things go too far in either direction.

The Taken King had a hefty price tag when it was first released. What's more, it also required the first two expansion packs in order to play it. Thankfully, it was worth every penny. It included a new story campaign, new enemies, and new locations. Pretty much new everything. The Taken King was almost like an entirely new game and couldn't have arrived at a better t

It was tough and inconvenient, but it also made for fun and interesting adventures. The game routinely asked players to seek out unmarked locations on foot, locations often far away from the nearest city. If one got there and found themselves outmatched, they only had two options: turn around and walk all the way back or get creative with what was on hand. Many a cool story comes about in such circumstances.

The expansion added a few new locations and some story missions, but it felt more like a developer papering over the cracks than a real effort to improve or innovate. Worse still, it did little to enrich the endgame loop, which at the time was sorely needed. What made Curse of Osiris so disappointing though was not so much its meager offering, but that Bungie had seemingly learned nothing from their experiences with the first Destiny 2 Weapons g
