Once Human: Beginner Guide

In Once Human , Hives are a core social feature that allows you to team up with other players to tackle challenging events, explore dangerous zones, and share resources more effectively . Hive members can collaborate to build a powerful and secure base of operations. Simply place your Territory Core in another Hive member’s Territory to start building structures together.


For players who want to be able to farm acid at the same time as farming high-level loot, weapons, and armor, there is no better location in Once Human than the Foresaken Monolith. This is a large POI that is crawling with deviations. Stock up on ammo and activators before farming this POI, as many of the enemies are bullet sponges, and it is easy to be targeted by flying enemies and take damage before even realizing there is an enemy there. Overall, this is a one-stop shop for loot and materials, but it is limited to high-level, well-geared play


As a polluted POI, it does have a pretty nasty boss wandering around, so low-level players would be better off farming one of the two POIs that were covered in a previous section. For players up to around level 35, this POI is still worth farming, as the player will not have gained access to tier 5 weapons and gear yet, making the more advanced POIs a little tough to farm without spending a fortune on materials for ammo and activat
The 'Tasks' tab can also be found at the top of this menu. Heading there will reveal all your available missions . Clicking on each will reveal how much Energy Links will be rewarded to you upon completion of the task.
Like most survival games, base building is an integral part of Once Human . Your base is essentially your safe haven – it's a place to store your belongings, craft gear, rest and heal, and plan your next adventure.

Stardust Source is a semi-rare resource that players will obtain in Once Human . Stardust Source can be used in various ways, but its main purpose is to calibrate weapons and armor via the Gear Workbench . Calibrating weapons is the most surefire way for players to upgrade their weapons and dish out more damage, making it a must-use feature to beat some of the toughest enemies in the game.

You can't unlock everything under the different Memetics branches right away. You will need to start from the top of each branch , and make your way down in order to unlock the more complex and powerful Memetics.

The next major way for players to get Stardust Source is through Production Facilities . Much like Securement Silos, Production Facilities can be found on the map, but cannot be accessed right from the get-go. To activate a Production Facility, players will need an Access Card , which can usually be found randomly by looting supply crates in Strongholds. Once done so, players can head on over to the Production Facility and activate it. However, players will need to defend the area against waves of enemies to get their rewards. On top of Stardust Source, players can also acquire Acid and Mixed Fuel from Production Facilities.

Aside from weapon calibration, Stardust Source can also be a component used to craft items such as Quick Activator and Adrenaline Shots . Both items are beneficial for keeping the player alive, making them a must-grab before entering dangerous areas of the map.


Another fortunate aspect of Once Human is that dedicated players can start grinding out levels almost immediately once they start the game and create a character.
