Once Human is a multiplayer open-world NetEase survival shooter game , where players must scrap by to survive, face unique enemies, and take back their world. The map design is filled to the brim with content to engage with, while the general aesthetic is pretty immersive too. There's a lot to unpack in this game, something we couldn't truly do in our limited time with it. The combat flowed well, if not exactly something to write home about, but it did have a few unique qualities. Some enemies have mechanical elements they'll drop that we can then temporarily utilize like a weapon. That was a lot of fun. We worked on clearing an area, and we could have approached it stealthily. However, whenever we turned around, an enemy was behind us. There's a challenge to playing it this way, but it did seem viable at the very le

There are several communities where different merchants have set up shop situated across the region. Meta-humans can buy certain items from them, but those unavailable at the stores may be found in Vending Machine owned by other meta-humans. If you've got items to sell, you can set up a Vending Machine too!

There was also a lot of uproar about character creation and server limitation. On the first day of launch, you could only make one character, on one server, and you couldn’t delete the character or move it to another server. This was quickly fixed by the developers - within 12 hours, actually - so those reviews can largely be igno

The different bodies of water in Once Human may look clear and brimming with aquatic life, but swimming in it is not a good idea . Stardust pollution has contaminated them, and this makes it a bad idea to quench your thirst with a sip of these waters.

Once Human is a vigorous survival game that throws players into a corrupted world filled with cosmic horrors. In this world, players must craft their own territory, gather supplies, secure food and water for their survival, and fend off deadly monsters. Like many other survival games, Once Human emphasizes scavenging for loot in its vast open world, and there are quite a few resources that players will want to get their hands on.

After fighting off these enemies, we ran into another SGF player who was checking the game out. We formed a party, and the devs took us to face a boss. This is where Once Human 's combat shined. The huge enemy was super dangerous, constantly forcing us to delve into cover and wait for the barrages to end. It would sometimes pop up to the top of the arena and let loose a dangerous flurry of bullets. Like enemies and their unique weapons from beforehand, it would sometimes drop a massive heavy machine gun we could then steal and unload on it with. At the same time, it would frequently summon adds to split our attention. The boss combat was a lot of fun that we went a little over time (we couldn't just end with it nearly dead!), but the boss combat put the exclamation point on this d

But with these myriad systems, no matter how good they might be, comes some confusion. I’m not entirely sure what kind of game Once Human is trying to be. The biggest factor in this is its seasonal wipes. These occur every six weeks. Most of your progress is erased, and you start back at the beginning, holding on to the blueprints you’ve acquired, any cosmetics you’ve earned, and maybe a few other items. This is where I think the game will really struggle. While I enjoyed exploring the map the first time, collecting chests and stuff, do I want to do this all over again? Absolutely

Unlocking the Water Gathering Skill will give you access to both the formulas of the Rainwater Collection System and the Water Bucket . Once you have the schematics, you can build these on your territory .

Think of something that captures everything you have up for sale in order to entice meta-humans to come visit your Vending Machine. When you're happy with what you've written, press 'Enter' to complete it .

Another fortunate aspect of Once Human is that dedicated players can start grinding out levels almost immediately once they start the game and create a character. Whether it's a brand-new player following a beginner's guide and trying to catch up with their squad or a veteran player trying to level up a new character, Once Human has plenty of ways for players to level up new characters. Here are some of the b

The branch you'll need to unlock the Rainwater Collection System is the Water Gathering Skill . You'll first need to unlock Cooking 101 to get access to this branch, so make sure you have enough Ciphers and Energy Links.

The next major way for players to get Stardust Source is through Production Facilities . Much like Securement Silos, Production Facilities can be found on the map, but cannot be accessed right from the get-go. To activate a Production Facility, players will need an Access Card , which can usually be found randomly by looting supply crates in Strongholds. Once done so, players can head on over to the Production Facility and activate it. However, players will need to defend the area against waves of enemies to get their rewards. On top of Stardust Source, players can also acquire Acid and Mixed Fuel from Production Facilities.
